2022-02-28

Maintenance methods of antique furniture:

1. Avoid direct sunlight. Long time sun exposure and dry climate will make the wood of antique furniture too dry, prone to cracks and local fading.

 2. Prevent dust. Generally, high-grade antique furniture made of precious hardwood has exquisite carved decoration. If the antique furniture cannot be cleaned and ash removed regularly, it is easy to accumulate ash in small cracks, which will not only affect the beauty of antique furniture, but also make the antique furniture "grow old" quickly.

3. Keep it moist. The moisture of antique furniture can not be provided by water, that is, you can't simply wipe the antique furniture with a wet rag, but you should choose professional furniture care products.

4. Avoid scratching by hard objects. When cleaning, do not let the cleaning tools touch the furniture. At ordinary times, we should also pay attention not to let hard metal products or other sharp tools collide with furniture, so as to protect its surface from hard injury marks.

5. Antique furniture should not be placed in very humid places. The wood of antique furniture expands when wet, and it is easy to rot after a long time.

6. Regular maintenance shall be carried out. Under normal circumstances, it is OK to wax antique furniture once a quarter, so that the furniture looks shiny, the surface will not absorb dust, and it is easier to clean.
